Grünwettersbach Hosts Stage 1 of the Europe Cup Men 2024

Grünwettersbach, Germany, is the venue for Stage 1 of the Europe Cup Men 2024, where teams in four groups are battling to secure their spots in the next round. The winners and runners-up from each group will advance to Stage 2.

The host city for the next stage will be announced on Sunday, following the conclusion of both Stage 1 of the Champions League and Europe Cup. All four groups will converge at a single location for the upcoming phase.

Day 1 featured thrilling matches. Poland’s KS Villa Verde Olesno delivered a commanding performance, defeating Hungary’s PTE PEAC Kalo-Meh in straight matches. On the neighboring table, however, spectators witnessed a more dramatic contest. Spain’s Universidad de Burgos – TPF squandered a 2-0 lead, allowing ASD TT Santa Tecla Nulvi’s Mattias MONGIUSTI to orchestrate an incredible turnaround, shifting the momentum and clinching the match for the Italian side.

In Group B, Slovakia’s SK Vydrany and Germany’s ASC Grünwettersbach both secured victories.

In Group D, SPG Linz triumphed over the Dutch team De Boer Taverzo in a hard-fought, closely contested duel.
