Groups C and D Conclude as Stage 1 of Europe Cup Men 2024 Nears Completion

In Grünwettersbach, the Stage 1 matches of the Europe Cup Men 2024 are nearing their conclusion, with several clubs already securing progression to the next stage ahead of the final day.

In Group A, Polish KS VILLA VERDE secured their place with victories over Hungarian PTE PEAC Kalo-Meh yesterday and Italy’s ASD TT SANTA TECLA NULVI today. With an unbeaten record, they are guaranteed a spot in the next stage, regardless of tomorrow’s result against Spanish UNIVERSIDAD DE BURGOS – TPF. Both Burgos and Hungarian clubs remain winless in the competition, while ASD TT SANTA TECLA NULVI has one win and one defeat.

In Group B, the situation is clear. SK VYDRANY and ASC Grünwettersbach each have two victories, ensuring their progression. Tomorrow’s clash between these two will determine group rankings but not the advancing teams, as Spanish ALZIRA TENNIS TAULA and Slovenia’s Namiznoteniški klub SAVINJA have both suffered defeats in all their matches.

The competition in Group C has concluded, with Slovakia’s STK VYHNE securing the top spot and Polish KTS GLIWICE finishing in second place. C.E.R ROBIN HAT PRISCO L´ESCALA ended in third. Representing GLIWICE were Jaroslaw TOMICKI, Ioannis SGOUROPOULOS, and Dariusz STEUER, while Miroslav HOREJSI, Filip SZYMANSKI, and Boguslaw KOSZYK played for Slovakia’s club.

In Group D, REAL CLUB CAJASUR PRIEGO TENIS DE MESA claimed the top position with two wins, fielding Alberto LILLO, Carlos MACHADO, and Alejandro CALVO. SPG Linz secured second place with Youssef ABDEL-AZIZ, Zhenlong LIU, and Tobias TISCHBERGER, while De Boer Taverzo finished in third.
