Four-time Champions League Women winners, KTS ENEA SIARKO Tarnobrzeg, kicked off their campaign for a fourth consecutive title with a victory in Novi Sad. They secured the win after four matches against Serbia’s champions.

The hosts started strong, with Aneta MAKSUTI defeating Natalia BAJOR, but Tarnobrzeg quickly responded. Fu YU and Elizabeta SAMARA turned the match around, sealing the team's victory.

“It’s always difficult at the beginning of a new Champions League season. Playing against Novi Sad is tough because they fight until the last point, making our job harder. But we’re happy with the win,” said SAMARA.

Before the match, coach Zbigniew NĘCEK revealed the team’s main challenge:

"The match in Serbia, aside from the sporting aspect, was logistically difficult for us. All of our players traveled from China, where they had to compete in the Grand Smash tournament in Beijing. This made preparation less than optimal. We finalized our strategy during Monday morning’s training session after assessing the opponent’s lineup."
