Barish MOULLET secured his ticket for CCB Europe Top 16 Cup through qualifications

At the 2022 CCB Europe Top 16 Cup on 26th and 27th February, Barish MOULLET will play for the first time at the event which this year will be held in Montreux. Barish wants to have fun and at the same time will try to put his opponents under some pressure.

As the host nation, Switzerland received a wild card, but still, MOULLET had to earn the privilege to play at the tournament.

"I went to the qualifying tournament without any particular expectations and I think that, because of this mentality I was able to play free and without pressure. From match to match I gained confidence and was able to play better and better," said Barish.

How does it feel to be in the Top 16?

"I am very happy to have the chance to participate in the Top 16. It's a great event and it's not every day that I get to play against players of this level."

Most of MOULLET's international experience comes from the European Youth Championships – he is still only 19.

"I hope to learn as much as possible from the top players, not only at the table but also off the table, their preparations, routines, etc. My goal is to have a lot of fun and to give a lot of fun to the people who come to see me. I'll also try to give my opponent some resistance."

Are you satisfied with your shape now?

"I am not totally satisfied with my results in the Swiss National League but this qualifying tournament gave me some confidence. I hope it will change something. My goals are to defend our title of Swiss Elite champion in doubles with Gaël Vendé and to make a podium in singles. I also hope to qualify for the Universiades with the Swiss team and to keep my club in the National League, or even to play in the playoffs," added MOULLET.
