After thrilling five matches, Tyumen beat Club Pongiste Lyssois Lille Metropole in Russia, but it was insufficient to pass to the semi final of the Women’s ETTU Cup. In opening leg, club from Russia suffered four matches defeat in France.

Like week ago, Bernadette SZOCS beat Ruta PASKAUSKIENE, but this time she needed only three games to secure the lead for the guests. Polina MIKHAILOVA was the key player for host club’s success. She overcame YANG Xiaoxin in full distance thriller to level the match and overcame Bernadette SZOCS in decisive fifth match of the day. Veronika PAVLOVICH beat Agnes LE LANNIC, whilst YANG Xiaoxin was in charge for second point on guests’ scoreboard. She overcame Aleksandra PRIVALOVA.

In further Women’s ETTU Cup quarterfinal Hodonin recorded victories in both legs. In opening encounter in Donetsk, guests needed only three matches to finish the job. Lenka HARABASZOVA, Katarina PENKAKOVA and Kristyna MIKULCOVA overcame Irina MOTSIK, Ganna FARLADANSKA and Anastasia RYBKA. In return leg they were stretched to full distance. MOTSIK beat PENKAKOVA and FARLADANSKA recorded victory against MIKULCOVA. On the other side Lenka HARABASZOVA preserved her unbeaten status with two victories; she beat RYBKA and MOTSIK.

Once again Leistungszentrum Linz Froschberg was stretched to full distance and once again after five thrilling matches Austria’s representative prevailed. ALCL Tennis de Table Grand-Quevilly suffered defeat at the home soil in the second leg of the Women’s ETTU Cup quarterfinal.

LI He had a good start with straight games victory over Camelia POSTOACA. In addition LI Xue secured second point for hosts in the duel against Kristina STEFCOVA in third match. On the other side YUAN Liu showed no mercy with two wins over SU Yun and LI He. In the decisive match POSTOACA needed full five games to overcome SU Yan.

Now, Leistungszentrum Linz Froschberg waits for the winner of the last remaining match of the quarterfinal between SVS STROCK and DR CASL. It is schedule for tomorrow.
