Croatia’s Lea RAKOVAC took Junior Girls title at the Top 10 in Tours with storm. RAKOVAC managed to preserve unbeaten status during three days of competition in France. Pauline CHASSELIN of France clinched silver whilst Natalia BAJOR is third.

The list goes on with WAN Yuan of Germany Tin Tin Ho of England Ekaterina GUSEVA of Russia Audrey ZARIF of France Bernadett BALINT of Romania Laura PFEFER of France .

Lea started the tournament under pressure. “Due the withdrawal of Chantal MANTZ organizers were forced to change the playing order. I was ready to play against Natalia BAJOR but at the last moment it was changed. I played against Pauline CHASSELIN in the first round. CHASSELIN was the player who beat me in the second round of the Singles Event at the European Youth Championships so it was not very good match to start the competition. However I beat her ” said RAKOVAC.

Against WAN Yuan of Germany Lea shined. “After the match WAN told me that I played mistake-free game against her. She was good but I dominated all the time ” said Lea.”Hardest matches were against Natalia BAJOR and Ekaterina GUSEVA. Against Audrey ZARIF I was very tired.”

At the beginning of the season Lea moved from Croatia to SVS Strock. “I am so happy there. The conditions are perfect. This was the best thing that could happen to me. The practice is supervised and conducted by experts. Coaches doctors physiotherapists they are all involved in our work. We all have programs made to fit our individual needs and skills. Our flat is close to the Werner SCHLAGER Academy and that is very important for our afternoon rest. We have everything ” said Lea.

And the results follow. “I finally won gold this year at the European Youth Championships after few silver and bronze medals. It was in in Mixed Doubles. I look that video over and over. I lost only one match in team’s event and I was in Nanjing at the Youth Olympic Games. In both Events Singles and Team’s I reached quarterfinal ” shined Lea RAKOVAC.
