Rainer IHLE died suddenly on 9 of July 2013 at the age of 57.ย ย IHLE dedicated his life to table tennis. Long-time President of the TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen was the greatest creative power of the club and his contribution to the European table tennis was enormous.
His name is closely related to the TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen success. IHLE brought the club to the European highs. He was one of the most prominent table tennis managers in Europe.
In past three decades his vision helped Ochsenhausen to win two European Cups, three national cup titles and three German championships. He knew the national and international table tennis sport like no other. IHLEโs attitude was clear, open and sincere and he always brought things to the point. He was an outstanding person, a visionary who brought things forward with determination. Table tennis was his life. His commitment to the professionalism of our sport at all levels was always successful.

Sometime we had different views and heavy clashes with him but we always achieved to share positive momentsโฆ What he has done in Ochsenhausen is something no one can forget in the futureโฆ Iโm very sad to have lost him, but I think this is a big loss for the whole table tennis.
