In 2009 and 2005, Prague hosted the event, whilst 1999 and in 1996 Freydek Mistek was the host, so if anyone knows how to take care of such big competition, that are Czech Table Tennis officials.
From 12th of July until 21st, competitors from 44 countries will participate at the 56th European Youth Championships in Ostrava. In Sareza venue, competition starts with the teamโs event, whilst the start of singles are scheduled for 17th of July.
In Junior Boys Teams Event 36 teams will participate, in Junior Girls 36, Cadet Boys 41 and Cadet Girls 40. Title holders in Junior Boys and Cadets Team is France, in Junior Girls Romania and in Cadet Girls Germany.
In Schwechat last year Tristan FLORE clinched the title in singles. This month he is still no. one at the rankings, but he is not eligible to play in Ostrava.
