It is that time again! On the 12th of July the curtain will be raised on the ETTU European Youth Championships for the 56th time in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The continent’s finest youth players and the future world beaters will take to the table for ten days of drama, excitement and emotion as they battle it out for gold medals in the cadet and junior categories. ETTU TV powered by LAOLA1.tv will be broadcasting the best of the action from table one via daily LIVE-Streams as well as all matches from table one and table two On Demand after they have been played.

It will once again be a tournament to remember in Ostrava as the biggest talents Europe has to offer show off their skills. France have dominated this competition in recent years, especially in the boy’s events and they will be hoping to do so once again this year. It may be a little more difficult for France this time with the likes of last year’s champion Tristan FLORE and Simon GAUZY not taking part. This does of course mean that everything is open for a new junior boy’s champion! The 2011 and 2012 girl’s champion Bernadette SZOCS returns this year with the goal of making it a hat-trick of titles in the youth tournament and her chances look good as well.

Alexandre CASSIN won the cadet event in Schwechat last season and the European number one at this level is the favourite this time around as well. Alena LEMMER took the gold medal in her final year as a cadet, meaning a brand new champion will be crowned this year with Marie MIGOT the current number one seed.
