Italian clubs most successful in Europe Cup Women opening stage

The winners of four Groups in the opening stage of the Europe Cup Women are three Italian clubs and one Austrian. A.S.D. Tennistavolo Norbello ASV TT Südtirol Asd Tennistavolo Castel Goffredo and Austria’s LZ Linz Froschberg emerged successfully at the top of their respective Groups.

A.S.D. Tennistavolo Norbello overcame the hosts of Group A Stolnotenisove Centrum SKST Bratislava French TT Joué les Tours and Belgium’s TT Malonne. They only faced big pressure in the match against club from Tours.

In Group B hosts in Austria LZ Linz Froschberg beat Belgium’s KTTC AFP Antwerpen AD Muravera TT A from Italy and French Entente Saint Pierraise TT.

In Group C ASV TT Südtirol recorded three straight matches win over Portugal’s Uniao Sebastianense F.C England’s Fusion TTC and Onisilos Lakatamias of Cyprus.

The winners in Group D are Asd Tennistavolo Castel Goffredo. They are unbeaten after the wins over Austria’s SU Sparkasse Kufstein Belgium’s TT Vedrinamur and Spain’s Museo de la Almendra Francisco Morales.
