1. FC Saarbrücken TT beat Roskilde Bordtennis BTK 61

Germany’s 1. FC Saarbrücken TT recorded second win in the Group D in the Champions League Men. Tonight in Denmark they overcame Roskilde Bordtennis BTK 61 – 3:1. Previously they overcame French AS Pontoise Cergy TT.

In the opening duel Cedric NUYTINCK overcame Jens LUNDQUIST (11:9 11:9 11:9) before Patrick FRANZISKA widener the gap with the victory over Michael MAZE (11:4 11:2 11:4).

Then the game became more exciting. Mikkel HINDERSSON overcame Hiromu KOBAYASHI (13:11 9:11 5:11 11:8 6:4) and FRANZISKA was stretched to full distance against LUNDQUIST (11:3 11:8 7:11 7:11 6:4).

“We are very happy with this victory because it came little bit tight at the end. We did it good until 2:0 but then HINDERSSON played really good match. With some crazy backhands he made their way back. After I was 2:0 up it suddenly get tough for me as well. I thought I was in control but LUNDQUIST fought back. Eventually I closed the duel in fifth game and it was important for the team that I finished the match then. Now we have two wins and we are looking forward new duel ” said FRANZISKA.
