Fourth title for Metz TT in France

The winners in Europe Cup 2018 Metz TT won this year’s French Championships title after victory over Entente Saint Pierraise. After winning 3-0 in the first leg the Messines repeated the performance in Saint-Pierre-les-Elbeuf.

Deprived of their n°1 ZENG Jian vice champions fought a good battle with in particular a very tight match 2 (5 sets) between Stephanie LOEUILLETTE and Adina DIACONU.

Lucie GAUTHIER lost to the Russian Mariia TAILAKOVA 3:1 just like Laura GASNIER to the Germany’s WU Jiaduo. Laura had not been able to play the first leg final because of COVID.
