Kornelija RILISKYTE and Alfredas UDRA – 2022 Lithuanian Champions

On 26-27th of March the Lithuanian Table Tennis Championship was held at the Druskininkai city Lithuanian Sports Center with the participation of 32 women and 32 men. New title holders are Kornelija RILISKYTE and Alfredas UDRA.

In the women’s semi-final Emilija RILIล KYTฤ– (coach Jolanta PRลชSIENฤ– SM “Sostinฤ—s Tauras”) beat Egle JANKAUSKIENฤ– (coach Artลซras Orlovas Vilnius) 4:2. In the other semi-final Kornelija RILIล KYTฤ– fought with Laura ABARAVIฤŒIลชTฤ– 4:0. Both athletes are the players of coach Jolanta PRลชSIENฤ– representing the sports school “Sostinฤ—s Tauras”. Emilija RILIล KYTฤ– and Laura ABARAVIฤŒIลชTฤ– were awarded bronze medals. Kornelija RILIล KYTฤ– won the final 4:1.

In the men’s semi-finals Alfredas UDRA (coach Indra UDRIENฤ– Klaipฤ—da) overcame Ignas NAVICKAS (coach Inga NAVICKIENฤ– Kaunas) and Kฤ™stutis ลฝEIMYS (coach Viktoras RYBAKAS) met Tomas MIKUTIS (coach Ona JUCEVIฤŒIลชTฤ– Klaipฤ—da). Alfredas UDRA defeated his opponent 4:1 and Tomas MIKUTIS defeated Kฤ™stutis ลฝEIMYS 4:1. Ignas NAVICKAS and Kฤ™stutis ลฝEIMYS were awarded bronze medals. Alfredas Udra won the title of Lithuanian champion in the final defeating Tomas MIKUTIS 4:0.

There were 15 pairs in the women’s doubles match. Third place went to Auksฤ— Geceviฤiลซtฤ— with Gerda ล Iล ANOVAITฤ– and Laura ABARAVIฤŒIลชTฤ– with Marija MIKALAUSKYTE. Vitalija VENCKUTฤ– (coach Viktoras STANKEVIฤŒIUS) with Egle JANKAUSKIENฤ– met Emilija RILIล KYTฤ– with Kornelija RILIล KYTฤ– in the final. Emilija and Kornelija RILIล KYTฤ– became the women’s doubles champions.

There were also 15 pairs in the men’s doubles match. Third place is shared by Ignas NAVICKAS (coach Inga NAVICKIENฤ–) with Kฤ™stutis ลฝEIMIS and Andrius PREIDลฝIUS (coach Rytis VELIฤŒKA) with Rimas LESIV. In the final Matas VILKAS (coach Jonas PIEKAUTAS) with Matas SKUฤŒAS (coach Romualda GARKAUSKIENฤ–) met Agnius KAฤŒERAUSKAS and Lukas RIMKUS (coach of both athletes Artลซras ORLOVAS). Matas VILKAS and Matas SKUTIS became the men’s doubles champions.

The winners of the mixed doubles became Matas SKUฤŒAS and Emilija RILIล KYTE who defeated Matas VILKAS and Kornelia RILIล KYTE 3:0 in the final. Third place is shared by Rimas LESIV (coach Saulius BUREIKA) and Aukse GECEVIฤŒIลชTฤ– and Rokas KISIELIUS (coach Romas Stankeviฤius SM “Gaja”) and Lukrecija JUCHNAITฤ– (coach Jolanta PRลชSIENฤ– SM “Sostinฤ—s tauras”).
