In dramatic clash Romania beat Germany to secure final against Poland

In other semis Poland eliminated Sweden. Wiktoria WROBEL beat Matilda HANSSON in the opening match but the pendulum turned in next duel. Anna BRZYSKA had four match balls in decisive game against Rebecca MUSKANTOR and she lost the match. Zuzanna WIELGOS overcame Leah TVEIT MUSKANTOR for 2:1 and WROBEL sealed the match with the victory over Rebecca MUSKANTOR.

Czech Republic lost to Germany in straight matches. Sophia KLEE beat Klara HRABICOVA Annett KAUFMANN accounted for Helena SOMMEROVA and Mia GRIESEL beat Anna KLEMPEREROVA.

โ€œWe are very happy that at this late stage in quarterfinal we managed to win the match clearly – 3:0. We remained focused and calm. My opening match against their number one Klara HRABICOVA was very important. I beat her in straight games but all were very close. Annett and Mia played perfectly after and here we are with the medal โ€ said Sophia KLEE.

Poland beat Ukraine and they needed four matches to progress to the semi final. Veronika MATUININA gave Ukraine dream start after victory over Anna BRZYSKA but Weronika WROBEL beat Alina VYDRUCHENKO to level the score. Zuzanna WIELGOS beat Iolantra YEVTODII whilst WROBEL sealed the match with the win over MATIUNINA.

Sweden joined top four teams after the victory over France. Matilda HANSSON Rebecca MUSKANTOR and Leah TVEIT MUSKANTOR recorded 3:0 victory over Charlotte LUTZ Agathe AVEZOU and Clea DE STOPPELEIRE. However first and third match went full distance.

At the ultimate stage of the Under 19 Girl’s Tens Event at the 2022 Dunav Osiguranje European Youth Championships Poland will meet Romania. That is the outcome of the fantastic semi final battles fought this evening in Belgrade.

In the fantastic thriller Romania booked their place in the ultimate stage by beating Germany. Three gold medals winner in Under 15 Events last year in Varazdin Annett KAUFMANN showed no mercy against Ioana SINGEORZAN and recorded quick straight games win to secure good start for Germany. Sophia KLEE could not stop Elena ZAHARIA. ZAHARIA leveled in superb style. Luciana MITROFAN expanded the gap after the victory over Naomi PRANJKOVIC before Annett and Elena fought hard against each other. Their duel met the expectations; it went full distance and in the fantastic finish KAUFMANN pushed Germany into the fifth match. Match between KLEE and SINGEORZAN went full distance and in the decisive game Romania’s player won 11:9.

โ€œI started a liitle bit slow but at the end everything came together. It is bad that Elena lost her match so we could finished earlier โ€ said SINGEROZAN.
