Ukraine exited the lockdown and getting ready for the competitions

National Championships

Ukraine will organise the National Championships immediately after the lockdown. The National Championships is scheduled for the end of the month.

Katherine SOLODKA from Ukrainian Table Tennis Federation updated us with the current situation.

“The situation with COVID-19 in Ukraine is similar to the rest of Europe. From 8th to 24th January the government introduced a lockdown. And from that time there were no sporting events. From today it is possible to hold competitions taking into account the requirements of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on compliance with quarantine restrictions. On January 29th – February 2nd the Ukrainian championship will be held” said SOLODKA.

Last year winner in Women’s  Championships was Solomiya Brateyko whilst Yaroslav Zhmudenko clinched the title in in Men’s  Championships.

Upon National Championships completion on February 4-5 2021 the International tournament “League of the Best” is planned in the city of Chernihiv in which players from Ukraine Belarus and Germany will take part.

“All the events will be held without spectators and in compliance with the quarantine measures approved by the Ministry of Health and Sports. Ukrainian Table Tennis Federation tries to adapt to the current situation with COVID -19 and to do the best to support table tennis and at the same time to secure the health of the athletes!”
