Europe Youth Top-10 in Noordwijk
After very impressive run with four wins in four rounds Milosz REDZIMSKI halted Darius MOVILEANU’s progress and made run for the title in the Cadet Boys Event at the 2019 Europe Youth Top-10 in Dutch Noordwijk more exciting. However Romania’s player is still at the top of the standings with five wins. Simon BELIK of Czech Republic is keeping the pace with MOVILEANU with only one defeat.
The day two in Netherlands started with two unbeaten players but then Darius MOVILEANU beat Hugo DESCHAMPS of France and in next round MOVILEANU suffered by the hands of Milosz REDZIMSKI of Poland.
“I attacked Darius with good service; it gave me control. He was not able to receive well and it opened the space for me to attack immediately. He has very good forehand but I blocked it ” explained REDZIMSKI. “Day earlier I struggled and beat Gabrielius CAMARA of Netherlands in seven games. That was my hardest match here but most difficult are yet to come. I will play against Eduard IONESCU and Iulian CHIRITA of Romania tomorrow. Against CHIRITA I won once but lost three times and IONESCU is even harder adversary to beat.”
Still in run for gold is top seed Louis LAFFINEUR of Belgium. After six rounds he occupies position no. 3 at the standings together with Iulian CHIRITA and Hugo DESCHAMPS. They all have two defeats.
“At the beginning of the year my rankings were not that good but after the semi final of the European Youth Championships it improved. I came here in good shape but we will see tomorrow after I meet Darius MOVILEANU. That will be the toughest challenge ” said LAFFINEUR.
Simon BELIK overcame all three adversaries today Gabrielius CAMARA of Netherlands Eduard IONESCU of Romania and Milosz REDZIMSKI of Poland.
