Europe – Qualification Event for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad at Tokyo in 2020

The European Olympic Singles Qualification will be organised in the city of Moscow Russia Wednesday 8th – Sunday 12th April 2020.

 

Each NOC may enter up to 4 players (maximum 2 men and 2 women) except that the NOC whose player won the gold medal silver medal and bronze medal at the 2nd European Games singles event may only send 1 man (Denmark Croatia) or 1 woman (Portugal Luxembourg) and the NOC whose team won the gold medal at the 2nd European Games team event (Germany men and Germany women) and the NOC whose team has qualified through the Olympic Team Qualification event in January 2020 for the Tokyo 2020 team event cannot send players. Maximum 2 players from an NOC can qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games individual events.

 

4 men and 4 women will qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games individual events. If additional qualification places are available following the Olympic Team Qualification the ETTU Executive Board will announce any required changes to the Playing Format.

 

The gold silver and bronze medallists of the 2nd European Games singles event in Minsk Belarus 22nd -29th June 2019 are direct qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games individual events.

 

The players will be seeded based on the latest available ETTU ranking at the time of the draw on 7th April 2020 referred to as “ETTU ranking‟. All matches are the best of 7 games.
