Russian clubs cruise into TTCLM quarter-finals

Table Tennis Champions League Men Round 4

 

Two Russian clubs finalists of the latest TTCLM final secured their places into the 2019/20 TTCLM quarter-finals after wins in straight matches: Leka Enea TDM – Fakel Gazprom Orenburg 0:3 TTSC UMMC – SPG Walter Wels 3:0. Tonight November 1st one more Round 4 game was held in Germany where Post SV Mühlhausen 1951 e.V. beat VS Angers TT 3:2.

 

Fakel Gazprom (Group A) and UMMC (Group B) have joined two German teams Saarbrucken (Group C) and Borussia Dusseldorf (Group D) with a perfect 4-0 win-loss record. After tonight’s loss Walter Wels (2-2) will fight with Roskilde (2-2) for the second place in Group B and the same situation emerges in Group C between Post SV Mühlhausen 1951 e.V. and VS Angers TT.

 

Post SV Mühlhausen 1951 e.V. lost in Angers 3:1 last Thursday when Jens LUDQVIST secured two points for French team. This time Daniel HABESOHN was man of the match as he overcame both LUNDQVIST and Jon PERSSON while Ovidiu IONESCU won decider against LUNDQVIST.
