The 2019/20 ECLW draw held in Luxembourg today June 15th
The draw for the 2019/20 European Champions League Women has been made today June 15th in Luxembourg with the reigning champion KTS Enea Siarka Tarnobrzeg (Poland no. 3 seed) 2012/13 ECLW runner-up Budaorsi 2I SC (Hungary no. 8) and 2017/18 ETTU Cup Women winner Metz TT (France no. 10) set to compete in a Group C. Twelve clubs from seven countries have been involved. The draw was conducted by ETTU Deputy Secretary General Pierre KASS. New season will be opened on September 13-15th by Round 1 games.
Four-times ECLW champion TTC Berlin Eastside (Germany no. 1 seed) is clear favourite in Group A facing 2015/16 ETTU Cup Women winner CP Lyssois Lille Métropole (France no. 6) and ECLW newcomer GIRBAU VIC TT (Spain no. 11)
Group B will see three-times in a row ECLW quarter-finalist in the last four seasons TT Saint-Quentinois (France no. 4) 2015/16 ECLW semi-finalist and 2018/19 ETTU Cup winner UCAM Cartagena T.M (Spain no. 7) and debutant TTC “CarinthiaWinds” Villach (Austria no 12)
Double ECWL champion Linz AG Froschberg (Austria no. 2) shares Group D with the last year’s ECLW quarter-finalist SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin (Czech Republic no. 5) and ECLW newcomer Leka Enea Tenis de Mesa (Spain no. 9).
