Hennebont showed no mercy in Kyev

ETTU Cup quarterfinal first leg

Fortune Kyiv failed to secure the advantage in the opening leg of the ETTU Cup quarterfinal. Team from Ukraine suffered on home soil against French G.V. Hennebont T.T. in straight matches. TTC Sokah Hoboken also lost their match at home against K.S. Dekorglass Dzialdowo. In last two matches of the quarterfinal both in Women’s ETTU Cup CP Lyssois Lille Métropole beat TT Saint Quentinois and ALCL TT Grand-Quevilly prevailed against LZ Linz Froschberg.

 

Cedric NUYTINCK Liam PITCHFORD and Sheng Peng FAN overcame Grigory VLASOV Yaroslav ZMUDENKO and Jevgen PRYSHCHEPA after losing only two games in the process. In Belgium Taku TAKAKIWA Yang WANG and Jiri VRABLIK also prevailed in straight matches against Jeremy PETIOT Rajko GOMMERS and Laurens DEVOS.

 

In both Women’s matches hosts succeeded. In all-French clash CP Lyssois Lille Métropole’s YANG Xiao Xin Tamolwan KHETKHUAN and Agnès LE LANNIC overcame TT SAINT Quentinois’ Polina MIKHAILOVA Mo ZHANG and Audrey ZARIF. LZ Linz Froschberg’s WU Yue won one point but SUN Yianyu with two wins and YUAN Zian with one secured good advantage before February’s return leg.
