Eurosport schedule confirmed – ETTC in Nantes in 2 weeks

LIEBHERR 2019 ITTF-European Table Tennis Championships Nantes France Sept 3-8

 

Two weeks before the LIEBHERR 2019 ITTF-European Championships in Nantes everything is ready for this great event to be held on French soil (September 3-8) including TV coverage which provides all knock-out games in both Men’s and Women’s team events. EUROSPORT will cover the upcoming championships with total of 17.5 hours including 12 hours live continuing its partnership with ITTF regarding the biggest table tennis event in Europe.

 

Table Tennis fans will enjoy watching their favorite national teams on two TV channels EUROSPORT 1 and EUROSPORT 2. The programming schedule is for EUROSPORT international and it is subject to change in each of the 54 different countries.

 

Good results at the recent ITTF World Tour in Bulgaria promise exciting six days in Nantes and clashes of 24 best teams in Men’s and Women’s Teams events. Three European players left Bulgarian city of Panagyurishte with a bronze medal: Portugal’s Marcos FREITAS (Men Singles) Romania’s Bernadette SZOCS (twice on podium – Women and Mixed Doubles) and Austria’s Sofia POLCANOVA (Women Doubles with SZOCS). Maybe 2019 ITTF World Tour Czech Open in Olomouc (August 20-25) which commences today will give additional energy to the European players and their national teams for their aims in Nantes.

 

The European Championships (Team Events) has been playing over a period of two years and be concluded with the final stage in Nantes (24 men’s teams and 24 women’s teams). Each of eight group will play a complete round robin (2 matches per team). Teams finishing in 2nd and 3rd positions in the groups have completed their matches. Group winners proceed to the quarter-finals. From the quarter-finals the knockout system will be used.

 

The opening day September 3rd brings 16 games in total starting at 10h00 with two Men’s and Women’s matches: Portugal vs. Turkey Slovakia vs. Spain (both MT) Spain vs Slovakia and Luxembourg vs. Greece (both WT).
