Great start for Simon BELIK in Cadets event

European Youth Top 10 in Vila Real

 

Simon BELIK of Czech Republic concluded the opening day of the European Youth Top 10 in Vila Real unbeaten. No. five seed overcame all three adversaries to progress to the top spot at the standings alongside no. two seed Myshaal SABHI of France.

 

BELIK overcame no. four seed Adrien RASSENFOSSE of Belgium in seven games thriller; previously he beat David BESSA of Portugal and Andrea PUPPO. Against Italian he was also stretched to full seven games.

 

Myshaal SABHI showed no mercy against his compatriot Fabio RAKOTOARIMANANA Ivor BAN of Croatia and Arnau PONS of Spain to underline his position at the rankings. All three matches concluded in straight games.
