100 tables at the Polish National Stadium in Warsaw as a way to celebrate a 100th Anniversary of Poland Regaining Independence

This year on September 1st the national festival of table tennis will be held in Poland. As a part of celebrating 100th Anniversary of Poland Regaining Independence Polish Table Tennis Association will organise unique event called „Pingpongowy PGE Narodowy” at the greatest Polish stadium.

 

„We will set 100 tables at the PGE Narodowy to arrange the biggest amateur table tennis tournament in Polish history. This way we want to celebrate 100th Anniversary of Poland Regaining Independence.” – said Dariusz SZUMACHER President of Polish Table Tennis Association.

 

European table tennis stars confirmed their appearance at the National Stadium. Werner SCHLAGER Jorgen PERSSON Vladimir SAMSONOV and Lucjan BŁASZCZYK will play show-off matches. On that day Lucjan BLASZCZYK will officially announce end of his sport career.

 

„It will be a special very nostalgic day for me. However joy will dominate because a lot of people who were part of my career will be present at National Stadium. I am extremely happy that friends of mine great table tennis stars: Vladimir SAMSONOV Werner SCHLAGER and Jörgen PERSSON accepted the invitation. I cannot even imagine a better ending of my career. Of course I will not finish my adventure with table tennis. Now it is a time to become a coach and share my knowledge and skills with others.” – said Lucjan BŁASZCZYK.

 

Kids and teenagers tournament will be played during the event. Table tennis clubs around the whole Poland will come to Warsaw to play in 6 categories. All Warsaw citizens and guests are invited to take a part in biggest amateur table tennis tournament in Poland.

 

Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Poland took honorary patronage of the event.

10.00 – Start of the Pingpongowy PGE Narodowy

10.00 – 11.30 – Recreational games and activities

10.45 – Group photo with Stars

11.00 – 15.30 – Kids and Teenagers Tournament

11.30 – Show-off matches (Samsonow Schlager Persson Błaszczyk)

12.00 – Journalist Table Tennis Tournament

13.30 – Lucjan Błaszczyk Show and LOTTO Superliga matches

16:00 – Kids and Teenagers Tournament awards ceremony

14:00 – 16:30 – Recreational games and activities

14:00 – 18:30 – Open Tournament

19:00 – Open Tournament awards ceremony

19:30 – End of the Pingpongowy PGE Narodowy
