Table tennis champion with football stars

Women`s Doubles gold medalist from 2015 LIEBHERR ITTF European Championships SHEN Yanfei visited Atletico Madrid

 

Few days after LIEBHERR 2015 ITTF European Championships at Ekaterinburg where she took gold medal in Doubles Event SHEN Yanfei was a special guest of Football Club Atletico Madrid. SHEN who won the title with HU Melek from Turkey became a very first representative of Spain who achieved that feat.

 

UCAM Cartagena player received a warm welcome from the players who won La Liga last year which was the 10th title of the national championships in the club history. SHEN and Atletico Madrid also met last summer in Shanghai within LFP World Challenge Program. They wished her all the best in the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

 

SHEN went from China to Spain 14 years ago. She is a member of UCAM Cartagena since 2002. Recent gold from Ekaterinburg is her second medal from European Championships after bronze at Schwechat two years ago.

 

Last weekend she contributed with two points against Hungarian Szekszard having main role in UCAM Cartagena`s 3:1 victory in Round 3 of ECLW.
