Borussia Dusseldorf clinched second trophy and still counting

Borussia Dusseldorf came one step closer to the triple – crown. After they clinched the German Cup Trophy in December last year the team led by Timo BOLL defended their Bundesliga title in the Frankfurt Fraport Arena today. In the re-run of last year’s final in front of 3200 spectators they beat TTC Fulda-RhönSprudel Maberzell – 3:1. The only title still missing is the one in European Champions League. This Friday (29 May) in Orenburg they will have the opportunity to unified all big trophies in same season.
Borussia Dusseldorf had a shaky start. Surprisingly Patrick FRANZISKA lost his match against Christian SUSS in straight games. SUSS even forced his long time doubles partner Timo BOLL to go full distance.
