Table Tennis Wales (TTW), the national governing body for table tennis in Wales, is looking for an inspiring and visionary leader to shape the future of the sport. As the Head of Performance Pathway, this pivotal role will drive excellence and guide athletes—including para players—towards international success at the Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Lead the development and implementation of a world-class performance pathway, nurturing talent from grassroots to elite levels.
- Manage TTW’s performance budget, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to support athlete and coach development.
- Oversee compliance with the UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) assurance framework.
- Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including Great Britain Table Tennis and British Para Table Tennis.
- Design and deliver high-performance coaching programs and mentorship opportunities for coaches across Wales.
- Drive athlete identification, development, and monitoring, using data-driven systems to track progress.
What TTW Is Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong background in coaching at a high-performance level, including experience in major international competitions.
- A minimum UKCC Level 3 Table Tennis qualification (or the ability to obtain it within 12 months).
- Expertise in athlete development, sports performance strategy, and para table tennis.
- Proven leadership skills with a passion for inspiring athletes and coaches to reach their full potential.
