FREITAS keeps Pontoise chances

The 2014 TTCLM winner beat at home Werder Bremen 3:1 in the Round 4 of Group C

 

Champions of TTCLM in the 2013/14 season significantly improved their chances for the 2015/16 quarter-final as they beat at home the 2013 Bundesliga champion: AS Pontoise Cergy – SV Werder Bremen 3:1. In the first match between these two rivals German side won 3:2 so now both teams have 2-2 score.

 

As many times before Marcos FREITAS did the main job in his team. Tonight he beat both Constantin CIOTI and Bastian STEGER while the third Pontoise`s point secured Kristian KARLSSON.

 

Portuguese first defeated CIOTI in straight games. Then Swede prevailed against former individual bronze medalist from European Championships Bastian STEGER. Host lost the first gem missing one set ball but after that took three sets in a row.

 

Most exciting clash was one between WANG Jian Jun and Kirill SKACHKOV. Chinese was twice one set up but Russian managed to turn the result to provide new chance for his team-mates.

Multiple medalists from the several biggest events met in the fourth clash as FREITAS overcame STEGER in four games. Now both teams continue with two wins toward the Round 5.
