Monaco and Luxembourg secure three medals each

The 2017 Games of the Small States of Europe

 

Penultimate day of the 2017 Games of the Small States of Europe in San Marino saw good performances of Monaco`s and Luxembourg`s players in the singles events. These two countries secured three medals each before the final day Jun 3rd.

 

Two Monaco`s representatives Anthony PERETI and Damien PROVOST finished on the top of their respective groups in the Men`s Singles event to book semi-final spots. Montenegro`s Filip RADOVIC and Luxembourg`s Gilles MICHELY joined them from the second places.

 

Two out of four semi-finalists in the Women`s Singles came from Luxembourg. They are Tessy GONDERINGER and Danielle KONSBRUCK. Other two will be Monaco`s Ulrika QUIST and Montenegro`s Ivona PETRIC.

 

Women`s Singles Quarterfinals: Tessy GONDERINGER (Luxembourg) – Lauren RILEY (Monaco) 3:0 (11:8 11:8 11:7) Ulrika QUIST (Monaco) – Snezana CULAFIC (Montenegro) 3:1 (11:3 11:5 6:11 11:9) Ivona PETRIC (Montenegro) – Letizia GIARDI (San Marino) 3:0 (11:6 11:6 11:2) Danielle KONSBRUCK (Luxembourg) – Chiara MORRI (San Marino) 3:0 (11:4 11:9 11:2).

 

Men`s Singles Semifinals (Jun 3rd): Anthony PERETTI (Monaco) – Filip RADOVIC (Montenegro) Damien PROVOST (Monaco) – Gilles MICHELY (Luxembourg).

 

Women`s Singles Semifinals (Jun 3rd): Tessy GONDERINGER (Luxembourg) – Ulrika QUIST (Monaco) Ivona PETRIC (Montenegro) – Danielle KONSBRUCK (Luxembourg).
