Prithika PAVADE clinched the title in Vila Real

European Youth Top 10 in Portugal

 

In the Cadet Girls category at the European Youth Top 10 in Portugal’s Vila Real Prithika PAVADE of France clinched the title. She beat all her adversaries during the three-day tournament to record nine victories.

 

“At the European Youth Championships I won gold medal in doubles with Chloe CHOMIS and now I have one more gold. It has been a very good season for me. I am very happy for this victory. I didn’t play on my best but I am still on a good level and I won all the matches” said Prithika PAVADE.

 

On the last day seeded only on the position no. five Prithika PAVADE overcame Sophia KLEE of Germany Anna HURSEY of Wales and Arina SLAUTINA of Russia. The title was decided even before the ultimate round. Top seeded Elena ZAHARIA of Romania and second seeded Elizabet ABRAAMIAN of Russia already suffered by the hands of French player. It was the only defeat at the tournament for Russia’s player whilst European champion ZAHARIA concluded the competition with three defeats.
