SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin perform well under pressure

,

The drama at the Tamanneftegas Women’s Europe Cup Final commenced in the second round of the Group phase on day one. Favorites, SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin, overcame Asea Sarises Florinas in straight matches, but it was much closer than the result predicted. In two matches the sudden death point system was implemented in decisive game.

The match between Solomiya BRATEYKO and Judith LIU was the first one that brought sudden death point. In nerves wrecking fifth game it was the Ukraine’s player first who reached the sixth point.

I already played under this system in Linz at the final of the Champions League Women and I am in favor of it. It suits my game perfectly. You just have to focus on each point and that is the basic of my style. I had problem with LIU’s service game and it was very difficult to overcame her,” said BRATEYKO.

In the opening game Natalia PARTYKA overcame Romane LE SCOUR in four game, but in the last, Linda ZADEROVA needed five to beat Chrysi FOTIDAU. It was Greek player who had a better start, but in the finish it was ZADEROVA with better nerves.

Like BRATEYKO, Prithika PAVADE from French Saint-Denis Us 93 Tennis De Table was recently on duty in Portugal and secured her Olympic ticket. Here, in Novi Sad it looked that she did not lose the steam from the Olympic Qualifications. Youngest French table tennis Olympian was the back bone of her club’s success with two wins over Anna FENYVESY and Ivana MALOBABIC.

TTC Carinthiawinds Villach had a better start with MALOBABIC beating Camille LUTZ, but after that the pendulum swung in favor of Saint-Denis Us 93.

It is always less pressure in the match when you are playing for the team. It is only maters that the team wins at the end. However, with or without pressure, I want to win every match. That is why I am here,” said PAVADE.
