Welcome to Sarajevo for European Singles Qualifications for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games

The ETTU Executive Board has chosen Sarajevo to host the European Singles Qualifications for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Following a successful presentation last week during the European Under 21 Championships in Skopje the ETTU Executive Board has granted the EOSQ event to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We are very pleased to be back to Sarajevo after the very good experience on the 2023 European Under 21 Championships a very well organized and sustainable event that Bosnia-Herzegovina Association was able to deliver. With that in mind ETTU Executive Board also took in consideration the dates proposed on the bid plus the fact that players from all European countries would be able to travel without any problem to the country following the Olympic spirit. ETTU Executive Board appreciates the effort from all member association that presented bids for this unique event and wishes to thank them for the huge effort done to comply with our conditions ” said ETTU Acting President Pedro MOURA.

The European Singles Qualifications for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games are scheduled to take place from May 15th to 19th at the Sport Arena Hotel Hills Complex.

“After the successful organization of the Under-21 European Championship last year ETTU has once again honored and recognized the BiH TTF by awarding us the organization of this prestigious competition ” Mirsad PAJEVIĆ President of the BiH TTF expressed his pleasure after the announcement. “Through the organization of the EOSQ the Bosnia and Herzegovina Table Tennis Federation reaffirms its strong partnership and collaboration with the ETTU. Therefore I invite the member countries of the large ETTU family to participate and come to the vibrant Sarajevo a city declared as one of the top 10 destinations to visit in Europe. The competition takes place in the 40th-anniversary year of the Winter Olympic Games Sarajevo ’84 and I can only say once again – Welcome to Sarajevo.
